Complete Guide to Hand Tied Hair Extensions

Modern beauties in magazines, on TV, and on social networks now and then amaze fans with their shiny well-groomed hair. Recently, this trend has not gone out of fashion – everyone is trying to grow longer curls.

But it is not a quick process and not everyone has the patience to wait until the hair grows to the lower back or at least to the shoulder blades. Fortunately, modern technology offers fashionistas many options for extending strands, even the most extreme lengths. There are budgetary and expensive methods of hair extension. Besides, they differ in the technique of fastening the strands and in materials used.

The hand-tied hair extension procedure is recommended in the following cases:

  1. Native hair does not have enough volume and strength – rare strands will turn into luxurious hair;
  2. You have a desire to change the image, but constant experiments with hair do not make it possible to grow it to the desired length;
  3. You want long hair of a different color, for example, blonde, but you are afraid to spoil your native strands.

Hair extensions are quite expensive. If you do not have enough money, the hand-tied hair extension method is most likely suitable. Keep in mind, depending on the thickness and length of the hair the price may vary. In a few weeks, you will need a correction. Besides, it is essential to have your hair length of at least 10 cm, otherwise, the attached curls will look unnatural.

Installation and maintenance of hand-tied hair extensions

The process of installation is at least five hours. As a rule, a stylist sews 2-4 wefts into each row of your native strands. After the initial installation, you may enjoy your hairstyle for about 6-8 months. But bear in mind, every 6-10 weeks you should come back to your stylist to correct your wefts depending on the length of your hair.

How to care for hair extensions?

Do not throw your hair forward while washing your head. It is better to wash your head in an upright position, standing in the shower, or sitting in the bathroom. It is desirable to use warm, but not hot water.

After washing should wipe your hair with a towel, but do not twist it.

It is better to dry hair without a hairdryer and other devices. We recommend using the hairdryer in the fast-drying mode.

Comb the slightly dried hair with a massage brush with wide teeth without balls at the ends or a special comb with sparse teeth. Be sure to comb the attachment of the beads to the hair to prevent tangling in the root zone. And do not forget to comb your hair at least 2-3 times a day.

You can not go to bed with wet hair. Therefore, before going to bed, the hair should be well dried and gathered into a ponytail or braided into a braid.

You can use masks to strengthen and nourish hair extensions. But they should not be applied to the beads and roots of the hair, as this softens the hair and extension may slip. Masks are applied to the tips and the rest of the hair below the beads.
